Rate limits and quotas
Requests a minute
Each key has its own limit (60 a minute unless agreed otherwise), over a sliding minute. Beyond it: 429 with Retry-After: 60. In front of the API, every address may make up to 50 requests in 10 seconds; beyond that the edge answers 429 for 10 seconds.
Checks a month
Plans count checks: one per asset answered -- a screen of 50 stocks is 50, a zakat sum one per holding, a day's history one per stock, others one. Every answer says how many it counted (checks). Beyond a plan's monthly checks, each is paid from your prepaid credit at the plan's rate; with none left, 429 until you top up (partner portal, Billing). Months are calendar months, UTC.

Being a good client
- Ask for many stocks in one call (
/v1/screen?symbols=, up to 50). - Cache answers: the engine's readings change at its scans, a few times a day.
- On 429 or 5xx, back off (e.g. 1 s, 2 s, 4 s … up to a minute) rather than retrying at once.
